The Body: Loomis Hand and Ladder

This piece is based on the work of Andrew Loomis whose instructional art books help beginners understand how to illustrate the body by first drawing shapes. The “Loomis Hand” is positioned next to a ladder as a comment on labor and how as we move up in the world, we get further and further away from the use of our hands.

Loomis Hand is 8’x8’ and made of cotton.
